Peanut butter and bananas go so well together and my kids add chocolate syrup because they adore chocolate and it also adds some extra sweetness to the smoothie. I love using Almond milk because it's so full of healthy protein and the low fat yogurt gives the smoothie a lovely flavor as well.
The great thing about this smoothie is it uses up all those bananas I buy every week for the family. If you always have bananas sitting on your counter getting ripe and you think you will end up throwing them away... don't do it! I love peeling and slicing these bananas and putting them in small freezer safe plastic bags then freezing them. The frozen banana slices not only make a delicious tasting smoothie, but they also make it nice and frosty so there is no need for ice that will only dilute the smoothie. Tip: I always freeze my fruit: Strawberries, pineapple, blueberries etc... when I make a smoothie so they can act as the ice in the smoothie instead of using actual ice.
Next time you have some bananas hanging around, freeze them and add them into a smoothie with some peanut butter. You'll go "Bananas" for it!
