Ingredients:
2 (2lb) racks of beef ribsSeasoning dry rub mix (see recipe below)
My sassy and spicy bbq sauce below (or your favorite store-bought sauce)
Seasoning Dry Rub:
2 tsp granulated garlic
2 tsp seasoning salt
1 tsp paprika
3 tsp black pepper
Sassy and Spicy BBQ Sauce:
1 (15oz) can crushed tomato sauce
2-3 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
2 Tbs Yellow mustard
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup maple syrup
2 tsp granulated garlic
2 Tbs soy sauce
1 tsp red chili powder or cayenne
salt and black pepper to taste
Directions:
Simmer on low fire for 20-30 minutes.
Directions for Ribs in Oven:
Line a baking tray with double the length of aluminum foil (you need to fold over the extra to form a packet)
Remove ribs from plastic and take the layer of silvery fat off the back of the ribs. Tip: Start with a knife in the center of rib rack and slowly slip underneath skin and start to pull back and cut skin. You can get it to come out in one piece.
Season ribs generously with dry rub on both sides
Wrap in aluminum foil and place on baking sheet. Place into a 300 degree oven and back without touching for 3 hours.
At the 3 hour mark, remove top layer of aluminum foil and baste with bbq sauce. Bake for 30 more minutes. You can baste twice in those 30 minutes. Cut ribs into smaller racks or individual ribs. Serve hot. Enjoy.
