I wasn't planning on posting another ice cream recipe so soon, but my family was screaming for more ice cream. I was lucky to get some good strawberries at the market and decided I needed to redeem the ice cream maker this time around. I had the maker all set (per the instructions). I allowed it to churn for 30 minutes and it still came out with the same soupy consistency I had when I made the mango ice cream by hand. Right now I'm not too thrilled with the machine route. So again, this can be done without an ice cream maker. If you have a good blender you will be fine.
Ingredients:
1lb of fresh strawberries
21/2 cups of of cream (or half and half)
1/2 tin of condensed milk
Directions:

Ice Cream Maker not required |
Clean and chop most of your strawberries. Save a few for garnishing.
In a blender add your cream, condensed milk and half of your
strawberries. Blend well until it resembles a strawberry smoothie.
Pour into a freezer proof container. Then add the other half of your
chopped strawberries into the blender and give it a few pluses so the
strawberries become a thick and chunky puree. Pour this into the ice
cream an stir well. Place in the freezer for 8 hours or overnight.
Enjoy.
