Ingredients:
Around 15-20 chicken tenders or boneless breast/thigh cut into thick strips
Lemon/Chili Rub:
2 Tbs of lemon juice
salt to taste (about 1Tbs)
1/2 tsp of turmeric
1 tsp of red chili powder (or to taste)
1tsp of garam masala
1 Tbs of paprika
1Tbs of cumin
4-5 cloves of garlic grated
2Tbs of grated ginger
1tsp onion powder or some pulverized onion
black pepper

First rub lemon/chili ingredients on chicken. Then marinate boneless chicken yogurt marinade 4-6 hours (or over night)
Thread chicken on skewers. Then place on a foil lined baking sheet (sprayed with cooking sprayed or lightly greased). Bake in a 375 degree oven for 20-30 minutes (flipping them over once) until cooked through. ** Cooking time depends on the size and thickness of chicken. Cook until fully cooked, but not dry.
Serve with rice, naan, raita or any curry meal. Enjoy.

Cutting meat is disgusting and gross. I feel you, friend. I love the idea of grabbing tenders and skewering them! Can't wait to try this one out, they look fab!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness those look incredible, fantastic recipe!

You don't like cutting meat? That's funny. Do you have any problem plunging a sharp stick into an already cut piece of muscle? Ok, ok, I know that was mean. :)
ReplyDeleteI love your quick dinner idea. It looks amazing. I swear, next time we travel, we're stopping by your house on the way north.
I don't like cutting meat either! A necessary evil for a chef, but I am like you and try to get the butcher to do most of it. Recipe looks divine!
ReplyDeleteI am right there with you. I don't even like to tough raw meat. I try to get my husband to handle most of it. The other night I made burgers that weren't really burgers because I didn't want to make the patties.
ReplyDeleteAn awesome meal Ramona. Love the presentation.
ReplyDeleteI I have never had to cut tough meat before haha we usually get our butcher to do it :P
ReplyDeleteLovely skewers they look moist and flavoursome - definitely bookmarked for my brother and daddy! :)

I'm also the same way. I don't like to cut the whole chicken. It's Dad's job at our place. I make chicken exactly the same way and your delicious pictures are making me want to make these asap!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great meal! Have never used yogurt in a grilling marinade or sauce but I've been seeing it quite a bit. I need to change that! This chicken looks awesome!
ReplyDeleteI don't mind cutting meat and would cut all day in order to make these!
ReplyDeleteYou are making me hungry and it is bedtime! LOL Love the marinade!
ReplyDeleteHi Ramona! You really know how to make great dishes! I prefer cutting fish than meat...assume most people feel the opposite? :D
ReplyDeleteA very neat idea. I don't mind working with my hands, just the after smell bothers me..
ReplyDeleteOh I love these skewers! And I don't blame you; cutting up chicken especially sort of grosses me out. Masala chicken is fabulous and this looks to die for, Ramona! :D
