Last week I professed all the things I love about autumn... and mother nature was kind to me by sending some cooler days our way. It was unusual to have weather in the 60's and 70's for mid August... but we did! It was so nice to go outside and not feel like you've just walked into the inside of an oven. The family and I took advantage of the cooler weather and the long daylight hours by enjoying long after dinner walks. Now if I can just bottle the long days with the mild temperatures... I would have my own utopia.
This week was also filled with some unusual food for me. I don't eat a lot of beef, but I made some amazing beef ribs and sesame orange beef skewers that had the carnivore men in my house grunting with happiness. I also had two sweet breakfast offerings and I'm not a big fan of sweet breakfasts. So if you were scratching your head and wondering, is this the Curry and Comfort blog that you are used to.... I did throw in a Sri Lankan Tuna Cutlet that was totally full of the savory and spicy flavors that people associate with me. Stay tune for next week... it's going to be a theme week. :)
Now here's the week in review...
