Hot Dog Cheesy Crescents - Kids in the Kitchen

Yum

I asked the kids to come up with a recipe they wanted to do with hot dogs for hot dog week and this is their idea.  We made something similar to this for the Super Bowl called Pigs in Blankets and they loved them.  This time around they didn't want little mini pigs... they wanted the whole dog and they wanted cheese.  We made these crescents and simply ate them with ketchup and mustard for dipping.

 Ingredients:
Your favorite hot dog
Crescent dough in a tube
Cheddar cheese as needed

Directions:
Unfold the crescent dough and separate into individual triangles.  Then place one hot dog and some cheddar cheese on each triangle.

Roll crescents up with hot dogs then top with a little more cheese. Bake according to crescent package directions (about 20 minutes) until golden brown.  Serve with dipping sauces like ketchup and mustard.  Enjoy.
