Happy Sunday Everyone!
Today is the Ides of March. So all of you Julius Caesar fans out there... beware of your Brutus. We are also mid-way through the month of March and five days from spring.
The kids finally had their first full week of school since mid-December. That's right... we finally had a week without a snow or ice storm. It was so nice to get back to a normal week without constantly being glued to the weather channel and worrying about freezing temperatures.
I think spring has finally sprung. I was walking out my door to pick up the kids from school when I looked down and saw these beautiful little crocuses popping out from the ground. What a thrill. I can't wait to see the daffodils and the tulips next.
This week has also been full of birthday cake. I made two birthday cakes already and I have one more to go this week. Did you know that yesterday was a very special day too. It was Pi day. Yesterday's date was 3.1415 which is Pi. So I hoped you had a big piece of pie on Pi day. :)
Okay, let's talk about my week of food. Everything was fun to make and eat this week. If you are looking for a quick chocolate chip cookie, definitely check out the mug cookie that's done in 1 minute. I loved the potato dishes this week, especially the roasted potato salad. I can't wait to make that again.
Have a great week and enjoy my week in review...
