Chocolate Fondue

Yum
I love chocolate so it's not that hard to imagine melting chocolate and dipping it with some lovely fruit.  Chocolate Fondue was created on the tails of the popular Swiss Cheese Fondue and it provides a wonderful interactive dessert experience. I highly recommend it because I have never seen my kids clamoring for more fruit to eat than when I had this bubbly warm pot of chocolate in front of them.  It's so simple, it's easy enough for dessert anytime.

Ingredients:
12 oz. good quality chocolate (I prefer semi-sweet)
½ cup heavy cream
2 tbsp. brandy or other liqueur (optional)

Dippers:
Strawberries, Pineapple, Berries, Kiwi, Apple slices, Banana chunks, Orange or Grapefruit segments, Grapes, Cookies, large cubes of Pound Cake

Directions: Melt chocolate, cream and liqueur (if using) together in a double boiler.  Once chocolate is fully melted, pour into fondue pot and serve with dippers.
Note: I left the liqueur out because I was serving children.  If you are making this for an adult party, I really recommend it. :)
