Happy New Year: Pomegranates for Luck and Prosperity in 2012!

Cheers to everyone for a wonderful, happy, healthy and delicious 2012!  I would like to toast the New Year with an amazing ingredient... the Pomegranate.  Pomegranates are nutritional superstars and they also denote good luck, life, fertility and prosperity. Hope your 2012 is full of luck, prosperity and good health!! All the best to everyone!

  7. I was not aware of the tradition of Pomegranates and New Years! In the southern US it's black-eyed peas, so I have a pot cooking on the stovetop! Maybe I need to have a pomegranate cocktail with it. Wishing you a properous and happy 2012!

  12. i cooked some black eye peas for dinner last night. didn't know pomegranade brings luck also. Going to ask hubby to buy some later today, to make some I get plenty of luck this year!
