Orange Creamsicle Milkshake

Yum
I remember the first time I had an orange creamsicle popsicle as a child... it tasted simply delicious. I decided to share this fabulous flavor of cream and orange with my kids.  Of course I wanted to do it with a twist so I went with a very simple Orange Creamsicle Milkshake.  This a fun milkshake for a retro dinner. I let the kids enjoy this with a burger and fry meal reminiscent diner meals.

Ingredients:
4 cups quality vanilla ice cream
2 cups orange soda ( I used Fanta)
2-3 Tbs frozen orange concentrate (optional)
1 cup ice

Garnish:  Whipped Cream (optional)

Directions:
Place all ingredients in blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately. Enjoy.

  9. At Disney, they have a drink exactly like this at a little ice cream shop. It's my wife's favorite thing! I can't wait to make this for her at home!

  12. Hi Ramona, sorry for not checking in for so long. Hope all is well. This milkshake is just brilliant! When I grew up we had this ice cream called “Split”, which was am orange ice cream on the outside and vanilla ice from the inside. The combination was just awesome. Don’t know why I never thought about turning it into a shake! Thanks for the great idea. We are all covered in snow these days so this milkshake has to wait till it warms up a bit. Take care!

  13. Oh yummy. I drink OJ mixed with milk. I think it tastes like a creamsicle. My husband says otherwise. I bet he would love this drink. I would certainly be all over it.

  14. Oh Ramona...this is such a blast from my past! When I was a kid, I always got a creamsicle from the ice cream truck. I just love the combination of orange and vanilla together. And so perfect for a milkshake! I wish I had been at 'Ramona's Diner' the night you had burgers and fries and this luscious drink! Your photos are just beautiful too! : )
