S'mores with Mounds Candy Bars

Yum
Special Note:  I had this recipe scheduled to post today before I heard the horrific news about the tornado that struck Moore, Oklahoma.  I just want to convey my deepest sympathy to all those affected.  My thoughts and prayers are with this town that battled this unfathomable storm.  I am just heart broken at the loss of lives.... especially over 20 elementary school children.  Thank you to the first responders and all those helping in the aftermath of this storm.  Please keep this town and the lives lost in your thoughts today....

Now onto the post....

 I love chocolate and coconut together.  So why not add this delicious combination to a s'more.  That's just what we did and they were fantastic treats.  You can make these over the campfire as they are done traditionally, or you can do the at home stove top and microwave version.  The gas stove helps you toast the marshmallows over an open flame and the microwave helps make the inside totally ooey-gooey.  I am not that outdoorsy so the in home version is the perfect treat for me.

Note:  If you do not have Mounds candy bars available to you, simply substitute a Hershey chocolate bar and some baking coconut together to make the same wonderful chocolate/coconut combination.

  Ingredients:
package of plain graham crackers
package of large marshmallows
bag of  Mounds Candy bars-snack size  (or substitute coconut and chocolate)

Directions:
Toast marshmallows over open flame. I used my gas stove flame.  Then place on top of graham cracker and place in microwave for 10-15 seconds to heat inside.

 Place Mounds candy bar (snack size).  Place graham cracker and sandwich all ingredients together.  Enjoy.
