Patriotic Fruit Skewers

Yum

My son saw these very cute Patriotic Fruit Skewers in a Target circular and asked me to make them.  I was more than thrilled to do so because they looked so fun, pretty healthy and a breeze to put together.  They will also make a very festive treat for any 4th of July party.  My kids loved helping me assemble them and they loved eating them even more.   Hope you all enjoy this great idea my son and I saw (thanks to the folks at Target) and make it a part of your 4th of July celebrations as well.

Ingredients:
Watermelon
Blueberries
Strawberries
Large Marshmallows

wood skewers
small star cookie cutter

I will not give you quantities because you can make as many or as few as you like.

Directions:
Slice 1/2 inch thick slices of watermelon and take a star shaped cookie cutter to cut out stars.

Then skewer in order with the blue (blueberries), white(marshmallow), red (strawberry). Use the watermelon stars to separate the red, white and blue pattern and finish off the top of the skewer.  Chill or serve immediately.  Enjoy.

Note: You can cut the strawberries in half if you like.

    1. There are certainly a lot of details like that to take into consideration. That is a great point to bring up. I offer the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you bring up where the most important thing will be working in honest good faith.
I don?t know if best practices have emerged around things like that, but I am sure that your job is clearly identified as a fair game. Both boys and girls feel the impact of just a moment’s pleasure, for the rest of their lives.
