One of my family's favorite dishes is lasagna. As much as I want to make it for them, it does get tedious since I have to use several pots to make the sauce, boil noodles and make the meat filling.  I also end up burning my fingers trying to separate and layer the noodles.  That's not exactly fun for this cook.  I never tried to make a no boiling noodle lasagna before so I was a bit nervous.  I went over to check out Ragu's recipe site  and was totally inspired to do it and now it's my favorite method to prepare a lasagna.  I created my "New Tra-Dish" version with lean ground chicken and spinach.   The family went crazy for this lasagna that we ate as our Valentine's Day dinner since we were snowed in for the night.  It was such a cozy and comforting dish to celebrate the day.  My husband's birthday is coming up and and he's already asking for another lasagna to celebrate his birthday too. I am more than happy to oblige him since using Ragu® Old World Style® Traditional Pasta Sauce gives me a no fuss flavorful sauce and the no boiling method noodle method saves another big step.  These two shortcuts to lasagna making has me in and out of the kitchen with ease and has me doing a happy dance.

Ingredients:
2 jars (1 lb. 8 oz.) Ragu® Old World Style® Traditional Pasta Sauce
1 package lasagna noodles
4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Meat Layer:
1lb ground lean beef, chicken or turkey
1/2 bag frozen defrosted spinach (6oz)
1 large onion finely chopped
3-5 cloves garlic finely minced
2 tsp dried oregano
2 tsp dried basil
salt and black pepper to taste
red chili flakes (to taste)

Ricotta Cheese Layer
1 tub (32oz) ricotta cheese
1 large egg
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
salt and black pepper to taste

Directions:

Brown meat (drain any excess oil).  Next add chopped onion and minced fresh garlic.  Then add red chili flakes, dried oregano, dried basil, salt and black pepper.
Finally add the defrosted frozen spinach and mix with meat.  Taste for seasoning and set aside until assembly.   Next combine the ricotta mixture with all ingredients mentioned above and set aside for assembly.
To assembly open both jars of Ragú® Old World Style® Traditional Sauce and pour 1/2 jar into bottom of a large lasagna style pan.   Then shingle uncooked lasagna noodles.  Next layer half the meat/spinach mixture.
Top meat/spinach mixture with half the ricotta mixture and 1/3 of the cheese.  Again repeat with a layer of uncooked noodles topped with a half of remaining Ragu sauce. Repeat with 2nd half of meat, then 2nd half of ricotta mixture and third of cheese. End with a layer of uncooked noodles and the last of the Ragu sauce.

Cover pan with foil and bake in a preheated 375 degree oven for 1 hour.  Then layer with remaining cheese and and baked uncovered for 15 more minutes. Allow lasagna to cool for 20 minutes before cutting and serving.  Enjoy.
