Pumpkins Carvings, Pumpkin Rice Krispies Treats, Plus a Giveaway #goodcookcom

Welcome to PUMPKIN WEEK here at Curry and Comfort.  Get ready for a fun ride of pumpkin carvings, sweet treats and savory dishes all featuring the lovely orange gourd this entire week.  As a Good Cook Kitchen expert, I was given a Sweet Creations by Good Cook Pumpkin Carving Kit to have a little fun with... and boy did we have fun.  My kids and their cousins got together and carved out the witch below

 I did a fun and crazy pumpkin with a spoof on Princess Leia of Star Wars with the pumpkin below.  See those hair buns... those are little mini pumpkins. :)

 

 I wanted to do a special pumpkin for the folks at Good Cook too...

 Now to the recipe for today.... 

Pumpkin Spiced Rice Krispies  

 I even used the Good Cook Popcorn baller to do double duty here to help make the large pumpkins.

For Rice Krispies Pumpkins :
6 1/2 cups rice cereal
10oz bag of pumpkin spiced marshmallows
4-5 Tbs butter or margarine
yellow and red food coloring


On medium low heat, melt butter and  marshmallows.  Once fully melted add the, food coloring, rice krispies cereal and mix well.  Allow mixture to cool down enough to touch and make into a pumpkin shape.  Note: for the green stem, repeat a 1/4 batch of the above recipe and dye it green.
