Happy Sunday Everyone!
Can you believe the year is half over?! Summer is just about to start and I am very excited. My kids are even more excited since they only have a few weeks of school remaining. I am ready to have a relaxing break from the hustle and bustle of the school year. I am sure by mid-July when I have kids fighting with one another and claiming they are bored every 10 minutes... I will be looking forward for the new school year to begin. LOL!
Kids in the kitchen......
My kids are getting older so I thought that it's time to get them more involved in the kitchen with cooking the food, not just eating it. That got me thinking that I may start a new series on the blog called "Kids in the Kitchen". I think teaching a child to be comfortable in the kitchen and cooking is essential to growing up to be a well rounded adult. We all need to eat and in my opinion being able to make food for yourself is empowering to your heart, mind and body. When you can cook something from scratch, then you know where your food comes from (not a take-out container or a frozen dinner box). So look out for that new series to come your way... Hmm...I better first ask the kids about doing it too. :)
