I love when I get inspiration from the unlikeliest places. I was looking over a Wal-Mart circular when I saw this fun and festive
Cinnamon Roll Christmas Tree. I knew immediately that I must make it and share it with everyone so they could enjoy it too. My little family of four has a Christmas tradition of making cinnamon rolls (yes the ones in the tube) first thing on Christmas morning so we can have the house smell wonderful while we open our presents. So I already knew cinnamon rolls were going to apart of my Christmas day, but I am so excited they will look especially fun and festive in this tree shape. Today we had a dress rehearsal of the cinnamon roll tree and my kids are still excited for me to make it in a few
days for Christmas morning. Gosh, I did say
days... time is flying so if you want a cute, fun and festive cinnamon roll tree making your home smell yummy and warm get baking or start popping open those Pillsbury tubes. I hope my tree inspires you as much as the one that I saw the other day inspired me. :)
Ingredients:
2 tubes of Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls with cream cheese icing
Christmas colored sprinkles
Note: If you decide to make cinnamon rolls from scratch you will need 10 rolls. You will also need to mix some cream cheese with some powdered sugar to make the icing.
Directions:
Stack the cinnamon rolls on a baking tray in a pyramid shape to make the tree. Put one cinnamon roll on it's side to make the tree trunk. Bake per package instructions.
Once cinnamon rolls are baked, ice them generously with the cream cheese frosting.
Then sprinkle with your Christmas colored sprinkles.
Hope this Cinnamon Roll Christmas Tree makes your holiday table as fun as it has made our. Enjoy.
